About David D. Grover, MS. LPC

David D. Grover, MS. LPC

I help people focus on the solution by teaching them to focus on what they can control and let go of that which they cannot. Health is health whether it's in the mind on in the body. After all our heads our connected to our bodies and the brain talks to the body.

For some reason in our society people, when people have mental health issues they take it personally unlike if they have a physical health problem. If someone gets the flu they go to the doctor right away. If they feel depressed, anxiety, anger, and on and on; they hesitate as if they wake up each day wanting these symptoms. Health is health.

Our Approach

People seeking help or answers for their mental health range from being what I call situational or perhaps serious mental issues. I try to teach clients about mind-talk, expressed through the inner dialogue of thought, ages, sensations, and feelings results in a set of attitudes that guide actions and basic lifestyles. When our past experiences have left us with healthy attitudes (for example, competence, self-love, and abundance), our actions naturally create health. When our attitudes are unhealthy (for example, powerless, loneliness, and deprivation) our lifestyles are invariably unhealthy.

We are all a mixture of healthy and unhealthy emotions, actions, and thoughts. Although there are times when we feel the predominance of our healthy side and thus better levels of health, we are inevitably pulled back toward the fear, worry, and anxiety that results from our unhealthy attitude and actions. Full health and healing do not come in pieces and parts, but it requires all of our emotions, actions, and thoughts to be healthy.

Once our patients have a better emotional intelligence they are able to address positive solutions to their ailments. Our patients enjoy full health and healing after undergoing this type of psychotherapy.
